The father of Ghanaian celebrated rapper M.anfest, former Chief Executive of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Tsatsu Tsikata says he is proud of his son creativity in putting together important taught in a very lighted manner through music, and wished he also had that creative capacity.
“I wish i had creative capacity like my son M.anifest, i do enjoy gospel genre of music including his songs ”, Mr. Tsikata told Whiston Amoah’s on TV3 monitored by Oilcitytoday.
Mr. Tsikata revealed that, he is not surprised about the son’s successes in the Ghanaian Music Industry and beyond, “he is the grandson of one of Africa’s foremost ethno musicogists and composers, Prof. Emeritus J.H. Kwabena Nketia”, he noted.
Speaking as a guest on 20 By Twenty Show, the calm and collected lawyer admitted that his son use’s the right words in twi and English in a way that’s poetical.
He stressed that its unfortunate his Creativity is not in music, but in the area of legal profession.
When he was Asked by the host to name his favourite song from his son ,he replied “Maka Maka” as his favorite song.
M.anifest was crowned the King of Ghana Hip-Hop in 2017 when he won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year at the Ghana Music Awards.
He has worked with the likes of Damon Albarn, Flea, Tony Allen, Erykah Badu, and is featured on five songs on the Rocket Juice and The Moon album.
