Kumawood actor Bishop Bernard Nyarko has taken a swipe at latter-day prophets whose only focus is predicting the death of acts in the entertainment industry.
He does not understand such pastors because he believes they are to uplift the spirit of Ghanaians rather than invoke fear in them.
Recently Prophet Nigel Gaisie prophesied to Kumawood actor Lil Win that his former manager, Zack, had sealed his mouth in the spiritual realm to kill his career.
Prophet Nigel was also alleged to have prophesied the death of dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns – a claim that cemented his name in the limelight.
But, according to Bishop Nyarko, prophets who only predict doom for others don’t deserve to be recognised in society.
He urged pastors to refrain from such acts and rather propagate the gospel to the followers of Jesus Christ.
“They tend to put fear in many individuals, especially celebrities and this is because such individuals have a huge following which may eventually convert into high numbers for their churches.
“Why don’t you approach individuals you see prophecies about than publicise them on social media? Just so it materialises so you claim fame in the sight of man? They are simply injecting and infusing fear into people’s lives,” he said.
